Obtained the dismissal of a long running civil harassment case against a Russian billionaire by his ex-wife after the Court issued restraining orders and orders to show cause for contempt. All the orders obtained by the ex-wife were dissolved and the case dismissed;
Investigated, uncovered, and deployed counter-measures against an international smear, sabotage, and litigation campaign against the Founder of one of the world’s premier blockchain networks and its greater than $1 billion token. Amman’s team detected and exposed fake news planted in international news media, fake white papers and fake analyses by purported analysts, fake claims and demands for regulatory oversight circulated by thousands of Twitter bots, and the outside manipulation of the price of the token on futures markets. Counter-measures included a media and litigation strategy against the perpetrators, along with working with government regulators, which ended the smear campaign and safeguarded the Founder and the blockchain project.
Successfully defended a medium-sized employer from employee sexual harassment and discrimination claims.
Successfully defended a hotel chain against two separate claims for disability discrimination and racial discrimination. After four days of trial proceedings, Amman made motion for non-suit and obtained a complete release for the client for nuisance value settlements for both cases.
Protected a Trust holding highly valuable real estate after the misappropriation of its assets by one of the Benefactor’s children. The adult child’s scheme involved (i) siphoning the Trust’s revenues through excessive charges by a management entity and (ii) the illicit sale of the Trust’s real estate assets through the encumbrance and sale of the encumbrance on those assets by an entity controlled by the child. Amman obtained orders freezing the assets of the management entity, returning misappropriated funds to the Trust, and the seizure of the proceeds of sale of the encumbrance. Amman also oversaw litigation against the third parties who aided in damaging the Trust, and that litigation was resolved to the benefit of the Trust.
Obtained a defense judgment and an award of attorney’s fees for a medium-sized U.S. defense contractor from claims by a finance company of breach of contract under a factor finance contract
Successfully defended a major motion picture studio against another studio’s efforts to prevent it from developing and promoting a prime-time entertainment program.
Won an $8.8 million verdict on behalf of the fifth-largest bank in the country against the former trustee of a private trust. Amman also succeeded in collecting the judgment in its entirety, plus costs and attorney’s fees.
