Amman Khan

 Fierce trial lawyer and litigator, Amman Khan is a Founder and Principal of the Khan Law Office.  He represents clients in trials, arbitration and judgment enforcement involving high-stakes business, entertainment, trust and estate law matters.  He has practiced for close to 20 years.  

Mr. Khan has served as lead counsel in numerous bench trials, jury trials, arbitrations, appeals, extraordinary writ proceedings and negotiated settlements. In defense cases and judgment defense matters, Mr. Khan has stymied his adversaries' over-reaching litigation and asset collection tactics and successfully defended clients from hundreds of millions of dollars in damage claims. In plaintiff cases and judgment collection matters, Mr. Khan has achieved close to $100 million dollars in judgments and settlements on behalf of his clients, including high-value net recoveries in matters in which the client's adversary filed for bankruptcy, insolvency or dissolution.

Mr. Khan regularly works with financial institutions, trustees, movie studios, television networks, high net worth entrepreneurs and multinational families. He strives for synergy between his clients' business goals and litigation strategy. He also ensures that litigation does not distract his clients from their ability to grow and manage their business. Mr. Khan's areas of expertise include: business law and torts; fiduciary law, such as liability of trustees, corporate officers, partners, managers, insurers, spouses and other fiduciaries; entertainment law, including enforcement of intellectual property rights, production agreements and distribution deals, copyright, and trademark; shareholder, partner and LLC member disputes; accounting fraud; insurance law and insurance bad faith; trust and estate law; employment law and judgment enforcement and collection matters.

Mr. Khan received his Master of Laws from the UCLA School of Law, where he finished at the top of his graduating class in 1994.  In 1993, he received his Bachelor of Laws, cum laude, from the University of Ottawa, Common Law Section, where he finished at the top 10% of his graduating class, and was the recipient of two national prizes -- one for oral advocacy and another for legal writing. He also participated in constitutional law, criminal law and international law moot court competitions and was a National moot court Champion in 1992.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics -- With Distinction -- from McGill University. 

In 1994 and 1995, Mr. Khan was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Ottawa, Common Law Section, where he taught Torts and Constitutional Law.  From 1994 to 1996, He was also an instructor in the National and International Moot Court programs. Mr. Khan has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers for several years as well as listed in the National Registry of Who's Who.

Mr. Khan has lived in the Beverly Hills area for close to 20 years.  He is also admitted as a Barrister and licensed to practice law in Ontario, Canada. Prior to Founding the Khan Law Office, Mr. Khan was a Partner at the Powerhouse Law Firm of Glaser, Weil, Fink, Jacobs, Howard, Avchen & Shapiro, LLP.
